Security Guard Courses

Criminals are easily intimidated with security guards who are armed. This is why most establishments hire security guards that have an armed security guard license.

In getting this armed security guard license, he must allow himself to be background checked and pass an FBI fingerprinting and a DNA test.  He must also submit himself to a mental evaluation; this is to be sure that he is mentally stable to handle weapons.

These are not enough to get a license; he needs to undergo intense security guard training. These trainings include 8 hours of basic security training, 16 hours on-the-job training, and 47 hours of firearm training, how to use a surveillance system, performing street surveillance and use firearm, proper ways to report crimes. These are the necessary trainings that are needed. Additional trainings are added depending on where he is going to work. For example, he is going to work as a prison guard; he will need to undergo trainings on handling angry prisoners and prison riots.
